Dignity Kit: This video explores how design and creativity can transform a global challenge. This video highlights innovative approaches to rethinking dignity kits, sustainable products, and user-centered solutions that empower women and girls. It’s not just about access, it’s about reimagining possibilities through creativity.
The Birqe Dignity Kit Project, aimed at supporting girls' menstrual management to ensure they stay in school, is a collaborative effort between two Ethiopian movements, I Care and Jegnit Ethiopia. As of now, we have managed to reach 80,000 girls towards our goal of supporting 1 million girls by 2030.
The Jegnit Movement raised awareness on period poverty, designed innovative dignity kits, partnered with celebrities, and harnessed the power of media repeating this cycle to spark change and keep girls in school.
With playfulness, music, and fun as part of our strategy, the Jegnit Movement made dignity a vibrant, relatable conversation—turning awareness into action.
